This course is designed to support you in developing your scientific, mathematical and employability skills, giving you the knowledge you need to progress into the science and engineering industry, such as Level 3 apprenticeships or further study in a specialist science field, such as engineering. As a student on our Level 2 pathway, you will study the academic theory with Franklin while developing valuable, practical experience through our leading apprenticeship provider and partner, CATCH. Here you’ll apply your theoretical knowledge in the classroom and build your engineering skills through a series of exciting hands-on, certificated courses, focused on key areas of engineering. Whether you want to progress to the Level 3 Engineering at Franklin or an apprenticeship, this course will give you the foundations you need for an exciting career in this industry. To increase your progression opportunities, you will study engineering-specific Maths alongside this course.

After successfully completing the Level 2 Applied Science - Engineering Pathway, you can progress onto Level 3 Engineering at Franklin or choose from one of our many incredible Level 3 courses or a Level 3 Apprenticeship with CATCH.

This course required general level 2 entry requirements, a minimum of 4 GCSEs and vocational equivalents which must include:
