Adult Learning Course Guide - 2019
Our courses are for students aged 19 and above and all are welcome. Our functional skills classes are mixed ability so you do not need any experience.
Evening Classes are held at Franklin College and daytime classes are available at centres across Grimsby, Immingham and Cleethorpes.
All courses are a 2 hour per week session and we have morning, afternoon or evening sessions. For Level 2 and 3 working with Children courses there is a requirement for a 12 hour a week placement.
English and Maths (GCSE & Functional Skills) are FREE to anyone that does not already have a GCSE at grade C/4 or above.
For other courses with a fee, many students are eligible for fee remission. Those working and earning below £16,009 per year or in receipt of certain benefits may be entitled to their course for FREE.
For Level 3 Diplomas, applicants will receive information about how they can apply for a Level 3 Learner Loan to cover the fees.
For further details please speak to a member of the adult learning team.
Contact us to let us know which course you are interested in. We will add you to the class list and contact you when the course is due to start. We enrol students in their first class.
