As a student on this innovative T Level, you’ll spend three days a week learning with our fantastic Education and Early Years Team and the remaining two days spent on placement in an early years setting and a primary school setting. This gives you invaluable work experience and insight into your chosen industry as you put what you learn in the classroom into practice.
Course Content
This T Level course will expand your knowledge and understanding in a range of subjects, including child behaviour and language acquisition, how a child develops, the role in which the family and support agencies work in relation to a child’s safeguarding, and special educational needs. The theory learnt in the classroom helps to develop your practical and professional skills of being an early years practitioner, and to prepare you for employment or further studies. You’ll also focus on becoming a reflective practitioner, which is crucial when working in education and early years. As part of studying this T Level, you’ll also complete a Supplementary Paediatric First Aid course, ensuring you’re well prepared and ready to work in the childcare industry as soon as you graduate.

Our Entry Requirements
Level 3 general entry criteria and a Grade 4 in English Language and Maths.
An Enhanced DBS Disclosure is also required - which the college will fund.
There are mandatory costs for uniform required for the placement element of this course, this may be funded through our Student Financial Support Fund.
