Holidays during term time

At Franklin, we do not authorise holidays during term time, as lost learning can significantly impact students' outcomes and progression.

New applicants who take holidays at the start of term and miss orientation may not be guaranteed a place. Additionally, any applicant with a booked holiday in September will be referred to a senior leader for review.

According to our Learning Behaviour Policy, any student who takes a holiday during term time will receive a place at risk (PAR)  letter. This means that if they do not recover lost learning and fail to meet expectations, their place at college could be at risk.

For more details regarding Franklin’s Learning Behaviour Policy and the college’s place at risk procedure please refer to the policy section of our website.
