Top of the Performance Tables for North East Lincolnshire
Franklin is Top of the Class!
Franklin Sixth Form College in Grimsby has come out top of the class in North East Lincolnshire in the Government Performance Tables for 16 – 19 year olds released today.
They are celebrating achieving the highest performance in the tables for student progress across a range of important measures including A Level, Applied General Qualifications, Level 2 Vocational Courses, and GCSE English and Maths post-16 resits.
Franklin’s Principal, Peter Kennedy, said ‘we are extremely proud that all the hard work by our pupils and staff has given such a great set of results. Our staff and students consistently strive to do their best and this recognition is something for us to celebrate. We are not complacent and will continue to work for greater improvement ahead of us, these performance measures are testament to the progress we are making already. It is seeing our students fulfilling their potential that is important and these figures are a reflection of this.’
Mr Kennedy continued by stating, ‘The relationships developed between our students, their families, our local community and businesses all contribute to giving our young people the best opportunities possible moving forward. The dynamic, supporting and committed staff here at Franklin are a keystone of this work.
Franklin's Chair of Governors, Alex Baxter also echoed Mr Kennedy's thoughts, 'This is excellent news for the College as we continue our journey towards outstanding; being the best in North East Lincolnshire is but one step, proudly achieved by the dedication, commitment and professionalism of our teaching staff. This is further proof of the governing bodies determination to maintain a totally inclusive access college where all our young people can achieve their full potential.'
