Congratulations to Franklin College English student Sam Bruning who has done an incredible job by getting into the final 10 of the prestigious David Welch sports writing competition. Sam had to submit 3 creative pieces of writing including a Top 10 women in sport, a comical piece on athletics and was particularly highly commended for his bog post entitled 'Is cricket really boring?'. Sam, an ardent cricket lover, was able to eloquently argue the merits of the sport and hopes to become a sports journalist after university. Great job Sam!
