A Level Results Day 2022

Franklin students come through with aplomb!

Franklin students yet again celebrate outstanding success today as they receive their A level and Advanced BTEC/CTEC grades. We are congratulating our students on their work over the last two years, their commitment and their wider achievements.
“An experience I will never forget. A place full of incredible people and support; I could not be more thankful for the experience at Franklin.” Lucy Bird, Franklin 2022 Leaver.

In rising to the unique challenges of the last two years, presented by covid, extended-lockdown and a return to examinations, our young people really have done themselves, their families and the college proud. They are truly a remarkable group, demonstrating tenacity and integrity in the face of the disruption that has tested them all.

They've been supported by a dedicated staff team determined to work through the challenges posed by the pandemic, not least that this group of young people have not taken formal examinations for a long time. At the same time, they have had to deal with their own and their family’s worries about health, work and everything else.

We are particularly pleased that a return to examinations this year has seen our students achieve fantastically strong high-grade performances. Across our Level 3 provision, with over 6 in 10 of all grades were at this level. What an achievement that is!

With a pass rate across our A level and BTEC/CTECs of 99%, we know our class of 22 will go on to change their world.

“It was great to welcome students on site to collect their results and wish them our best. They have already shown us they are capable of so much!” Peter, Principal of Franklin Sixth Form College.

Chair of Governors; Alex Baxter said: “These are truly amazing results which clearly demonstrates the hard work and commitment of Franklin students the dedication of teaching staff and a joint desire to always succeed. We are extremely proud of these achievements which are so well deserved, particularly given the unprecedented circumstances coming out of a pandemic under which they had to work.”
