Franklin Hosts Its First Drama Festival

Franklin Sixth Form College recently hosted its first Drama Festival for local schools, providing an incredible opportunity for students from across the region to share their talent and develop skills both on and off stage. Healing School, Waltham Tollbar School, Cleethorpes Academy, and Oasis Academy Immingham all took part, making it incredible day for the region’s young performers to share their passion for the Performing Arts at the region’s only Outstanding provider of sixth form education.

Ali Trail, Head of Department for Performing Arts and Music at Franklin, said: "The event was such a powerful reminder of what can be achieved when a community comes together with a shared passion. It was truly inspirational to see students from Year 7 right through to Year 13 collaborate, build confidence, and develop new skills in such a supportive environment—creating not only lasting connections but also a strong sense of belonging and empowerment that will continue well beyond the day itself."

Miss Harrison from Cleethorpes Academy added: "One of the reasons we took part in the day was for the opportunity to visit the college, perform in front of other students, and receive feedback. The students have loved the experience; it’s been a really positive day."
