The T-Level for Health & Science offers a combination of classroom learning and hands-on experience through an industry placement of 315 hours throughout a course. With 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% at placement with an employer, you’ll develop the essential knowledge, skills, and behaviours required for a successful career in Health & Science.
Course Content
In the first year of this comprehensive course, you’ll study core health and science modules, equipping you with a solid foundation for working in the Health & Science sector. You will explore topics including epidemiology, health, safety, and environmental considerations, managing information and data, and an in-depth exploration of various body systems, (reproductive and cardiovascular systems), among others. Gain insights into scientific and clinical practice, person-centred care, infection prevention and control, safeguarding, and immunology. During Year 2, you’ll undertake three assignments designed to showcase your practical skills, which, are tailored to your chosen occupational specialism. At the core of your occupational specialisation, you’ll focus on supporting the adult nursing team, building your knowledge and expertise in this critical area.
