Course Content
As not all Fashion and Textiles students have studied Fashion and Textiles at GCSE, this course introduces you to the core skills you need to get started. You’ll explore stitch, print, pattern, garment construction, 3D construction, needle felting, and fashion illustration, along with undertaking personal thematic fashion and textile projects in a supportive studio environment. You’ll also showcase your work at fashion shows and have the chance to take part in exciting trips and visits to exhibitions. The course also regularly brings in guest speakers from the creative industries, including Our Big Picture, stylist Emily Jones, and film director Jack Spring, to name a few. Prior study of an art-based course at GCSE is required, or you can provide a portfolio.
