Course Content
This industry-focused course is designed to build your theoretical and practical skills in maths and engineering, giving you the perfect foundation to progress to an apprenticeship or higher education. With a major focus on electrical engineering, you’ll design and test electronic circuits on printed circuit boards, use simulation software, and develop your skills in computer-aided design (CAD) software for 3D product design. You’ll also learn how to programme a microchip to control circuitry in projects. Developed with local employers, this course offers real-world industry insights through visits to local engineering employers such as RWE and CATCH, where you will complete a renewables project and experience an industry taster day. You’ll also have the opportunity to explore universities and take part in our incredible STEM Day, where you’ll immerse yourself in interactive engineering workshops, ensuring you have the knowledge, experience and skills you need to take your next steps in engineering.Your Assessment
