What are T-Levels?

T Levels are a fantastic option after your GCSEs! Launched in September 2020, T Levels were designed by educational experts to provide students with everything needed for life after college. Whether that be a fantastic career, an apprenticeship, or further study at university.

With T Levels, you'll dive into your studies whilst also getting real-world experience. You really can have the best of both worlds – you’ll learn in class, and get hands-on, giving you real-world experiences allowing you to develop and apply knowledge and skills.

One T Level is equivalent to three A Levels and is recognised by universities.

You will undertake a work placement and spend 80% of your time in the classroom and 20% in work.

Digital Production, Design & Development

Course Information

Unlock the digital universe with our T Level in Digital Production, Design & Development. This two-year course combines classroom learning with an industry placement to develop your knowledge and equip you with the skills you’ll need for a career in the digital industry.

Explore a range of key elements to develop your skills such as, systems analysis and design, coding (multiple languages), evaluating systems, emerging technology, legislation, data and security, project planning, computing systems management, and software development.

Education & Early Years

Course Information

Embrace the world of childcare and early education with our T Level in Education and Early Years. This fantastic programme offers two years of core content and experiences to set you on your path. You’ll combine classroom study with a weekly work placement to gain an understanding and a chance to apply your knowledge in the sector during your time at Franklin.

Discover a range of topics including child behaviour and development, language acquisition, the role of family and support agencies in relation to a child, safeguarding, and special educational needs. Prepare and develop your skills for roles like Nursery Worker, Teacher, Play Worker, or Early Years Practitioner.

You will also, complete a First Aid course to further develop your skills so you’re ready to work in the childcare industry as soon as you graduate.

Health – Support the Adult Nursing Team

Course Information

Set yourself on a future in the Health & Science sector by studying our T Level course in Health specialising in Adult Nursing. This course offers blended learning providing you with a combination of classroom learning and hands-on industry placement to prepare you for life after Franklin.

Topics you’ll cover are exploration of body systems, insight into scientific and clinical practices, person-centred care, infection prevention and control, safeguarding, and immunology, to name a few. You will be able to go on extensive placements, where you will put the theory, you have learnt from the classroom into practice!
