Franklin Sixth Form College is a thriving, successful sixth form college serving North East Lincolnshire and the surrounding rural and coastal area, with around 1,600 full-time 16-18 and 700 part-time adult students. The post is working 37 hours per week, term time only + 5 training days (195 days), Monday to Thursday 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Friday 8.30 am to 4.30 pm. The salary is Points 13 to 17 on the Sixth Form College Support Staff Pay Spine, currently £15,125 to £16,750 FTE (pro rata £12,879 - £14,263).
We are seeking to appoint a suitably experienced and enthusiastic Science Technician to work in the College’s Science and Engineering classrooms and preparation areas. The role of Science Technician supports staff and students in Science, Engineering and related curriculum areas in the development and delivery of courses, especially through support for practical activities and administrative assistance. The successful candidate will promote and encourage excellent standards of student behaviour.
