The Franklin Interview Process

The interview process is nothing you need to worry about!

It isn’t a test, it’s a chance for us to chat with you about your plans for the future so we are able to cater for your needs and interests the best way we can.

It’s all about making sure you are on the right courses for you:

• Making sure the courses suit your career aims and future aspirations
• Making sure the courses you pick suit the way you like to learn and be assessed
• Making sure the course content and style is going to set you up best for your dream future

It’s a chance for us to chat through your future plans and make sure we can support your goals best by creating a Study Programme that is unique to you.

There is no need to worry about the situation we find ourselves in due to COVID-19 and that you are not in school, we are not here to penalise you because of this, we will support you every way we can. But, you must make sure you engage with all the work at school remotely and remain committed to your studies to set you up for the future in the best way possible. At Franklin we have high standards and we want the best for all our students.

In preparation for your interview please have a think about your career aspirations and what your next steps may be after your time at Franklin. If you are not totally sure yet that is fine and completely normal. We are here to support you and understand these are difficult choices to make. Another way you can prepare is to think of some questions before the interview which you would like to ask us. We will chat through this with you and will be happy to help.

We don’t expect you to know about all the content on the courses you have applied for or, the details about the specifications and assessment style of these courses. It’s our job to share that information with you so don’t worry about that. We are here to answer your questions so please think about anything you want to ask.

This year is really important and we are here for you and will help and support you in anyway we can. We understand how unsettled things are right now but, we would like to emphasise how much we are looking forward to September 2021 and you starting with us! We are working on plans for making the summer experience sessions for you and your friends a great time and we can’t wait to welcome you to the College as soon as we can!
