Nexus Youth Forum starting at Franklin

We have an exciting new Youth Forum for Mental Health starting at Franklin to support young people.

Purpose 

• As a group to provide a safe and supportive environment to help shape and support each other and mental health services.  
• Nexus youth Forum is a place that young people can attend to discuss and reduce the stigma attached to mental health.
• Nexus is for young people aged between 16 – 21 years.
• Nexus will have its own social networks channels, content for these will be approved by the Nexus project teams.
• To make friends and have fun
• Nexus is there to support and sign post but is not intended as a counselling service.

The young person’s mental health forum (NEXUS) will be starting on Wednesday 17 January 4-5pm here at Franklin. The sessions will be on the third Wednesday of each month. The group is open to anyone and you can register your interest with Mel Logan at melanie.logan@franklin.ac.uk

The group is set up and managed by the following organisations with a view to it being run by young people ( 16-21) , for young people with staff supporting it:

Youth Parliament
