How has the English Language changed?

On Friday 26^th February 2018, Franklin College students had the fantastic opportunity to learn more about the process of Language Change. Lecturer Dr Daniel Van Olmen from Lancaster University’s Linguistic and English Language Department visited the college to deliver a lecture on Language Change to our A Level English Language students. Students found the lecture interesting and valuable and thought it was a great insight in to the style and note taking requirements of university lectures in English. Those students who have had offers to study Language or Linguistics from universities across the UK found the experience really exciting as it gave them a glimpse of their future.
