Franklin's Netball & Football Teams trip to Italy

The football and netball teams have just arrived back from an once in a lifetime trip to Italy. 20 students flew out to Venice where they then travelled to a sports complex in Borgo Valsugana.

The students were given opportunities to coach their sports in local Italian schools and compete against the other colleges in their teams. There was chance to go on day trips to Trento, Lake Garda, Verona and Venice where the students had time to explore the cities and get a feel of the Italian culture.

An amazing experience was attending a Serie A football and volleyball game.

They took part in Italian lessons, a cooking lesson, hiking, orienteering, a self-defence class and a trip up the mountains to go sledging.

This trip was an incredible experience and gave the students a chance to enhance their coaching, communication and cultural skills.
