Franklin Celebrates Neurodiversity Week 2023

Neurodiversity is the concept that all humans vary in terms of our neurocognitive ability. Everyone has both talents and things they struggle with.

Depending on how our brains are wired we think, move, process information and communicate in different ways. Many people in our community use neurodiversity as an umbrella term used to describe alternative thinking styles such as Dyslexia, DCD (Dyspraxia), Dyscalculia, Autism and ADHD. But regardless of labels, neurodiversity is about recognising those who think differently.

As an inclusive and encouraging environment, we support all of our students through their programmes to ensure that they achieve their full potential at Franklin. This week we are celebrating Neurodiversity Celebration Week with both students and staff.
