Franklin Principal, Peter Kennedy is thrilled to announce the success of the Humber-wide Strategic Development Fund bid. The overall bid was pulled together and led fantastically well by the TEC Partnership.
Full press release can be found here.
Franklin’s part of the collaboration will allow us to develop our Community Hub to provide enhanced support to local business partners, alongside space and resources to support local new-business start-ups.
We’re also able to further develop our sector leading Centre for Professional Development at Franklin allowing us to extend our fantastic work with employers of all sizes, linking real-world experience into the work we do with our students to form career opportunities that tap into the pipeline of much-needed skilled professionals of the future.
More information on the Centre for Professional Development can be found on our website.
Through our partnership with John Leggott in Scunthorpe and Wilberforce in Hull as the Advance College Trust we are able to extend this offer to our students. Providing a regional platform for our future professionals to experience work with top employers. This work gives our students a fantastic start in life in the journey to becoming future professionals.
I am very excited to make great strides forward in developing opportunities for young people and local businesses locally and regionally.
