Congratulations to our business students who attended the Global Entrepreneurship Day at the Guildhall in Hull and won 3rd place out of 20 schools and colleges
Business student Charley Woodley wrote this review:
We all took part in a number of different team building activities throughout the day, such as building a bridge out of newspaper and designing a new caravan.
There were many stalls and representatives from different companies such as Smiths and Nephew, Natwest and the Hull City of Culture. We also recieved an inspirational talk from Ruth Badger of the Apprentice, taking about entrepreneurship and the ups and downs of being a business person.
We competed in tasks to build tower blocks and these had to sustain the weight of a box full of books. All the activities were a real challenge and good fun.
For our final task we had to design a new style caravan to appeal to younger generations. A Swift caravan spokesman told us to use our imagination and be creative. The team began to plan and we came up with idea of a Pet friendly family caravan that could be customised. The judges circulated and asked questions about our ideas, design and function .
We won vouchers and ultimately came third!
