Career Ready Mentor Ice Breaker Event

61 of our fantastic Career Ready students met with their mentors and completed some teamwork and confidence building activities this week at Franklin.

This was a fantastic event for our students!

Mentors included professionals' from companies such as: Myenergi, Wilkin Chapman, NHS, Hull University, The Positive Co plus many more from across the Humber.⁠

After the student session our mentors completed mentor training with Malcolm Smith from CoachingWorx, which was a positive learning opportunity and enabled them to understand the world from a young person’s perspective.⁠

Our Career Ready programme forms part of our family of Professionals' Programmes at Franklin. Our Professional's Programmes are a strand of Franklins nationally recognised Centre for Professional Development. 

A tremendous amount of work takes place at Franklin which supports our students to build connections with employers in key sectors such as, Health, STEM, logistics, business and law. The programmes are developed to equipping young people with skills, behaviours and attitudes needed to be successful in the workplace.⁠
