Ofqual has now outlined the process for vocational and technical qualifications (VTQs) this summer, which includes the BTEC and CTEC courses taken by students at Franklin Sixth Form College. It has been confirmed that the process of awarding grades will use calculated grades and available data to give students their final results this summer – this is the same process as for GCSEs and A Levels. More information on this can be found on the government website:

The precise details of calculating the grade and the contribution of an assessment and assignment grades achieved through the course to date are not yet confirmed. We will share details and updates as soon as we can.
We are continuing to follow guidance from Ofqual on grading of qualifications for the summer of 2020.
Attached are two documents containing guidance to date. As we continue to gain more information around this we will of course update you.
