Franklin College students are celebrating outstanding successes in today’s A Level and BTEC results, marking yet another year of excellent academic and personal achievements for students at the college, with an overall pass rate of over 99%.
In the areas most established sixth form college, students have taken examinations and completed courses in the widest range of subjects and have performed exceptionally. Forty courses this year achieved a pass rate of 100% which a remarkable achievement and 60% of students achieved a Distinction or Distinction* in their BTEC courses.
Speaking of the successes, Principal Trevor Wray said “I know that all staff and Governors at Franklin College will join me in saying how immensely proud we are of the achievements of all of our students as they now prepare for the next exciting chapter of their lives whether that be university, an apprenticeship or into employment. We would like to thank and congratulate everyone involved in enabling our students to achieve their potential”.
Trevor added “Progression at Franklin College is outstanding. This year the majority of students gained a place at their first choice university including some of the most prestigious institutions and on some of the most demanding courses. In addition, our extensive links with local and national employers have enabled many students to secure places on some very prestigious Higher Apprenticeships and progress straight into exceptional employment opportunities.
“I am so pleased for all the staff and students that once again Franklin College is celebrating a great set of results”.
