School Leavers who apply to Franklin College will be guided and supported through the process by The Schools Liaison Team.
The Franklin College Schools Liaison Team will visit many schools in the local area to talk to students about the possibility of studying at Franklin College after leaving school.
If you attend a school our team don't visit, then our Open Evenings are for you. These events give you the chance to look round the college and see if it is right for you.
It is important anyone thinking about coming to Franklin attends these events because it gives you a feel of the college.
Upon receipt of an application form, the team will then arrange a personal interview with all students where they can talk about their plans for Post 16 Education and receive guidance to ensure they are applying for appropriate courses.
In July, all applicants who have been interviewed will be invited in to college for 2 Taster Days, where they will have the opportunity to try the courses they have applied for.
After GCSE Results day, the Student Services Team at Franklin College will offer a Post GCSE Advice Service (01472 875 005) for students who are concerned about their results.
Students will be invited to enrol with the college prior to the start of the new academic year in September. It is at this point, that students will finalise their programme.
The aim of the Schools Liaison Team is to ensure that all students make informed choices about their programme at Franklin College and that their transition from school to college is as smooth as possible.
