Creative Courses

These full years, part time courses allow you to work on a variety of crafts and then concentrate on a specific craft developing a portfolio of work to show evidence of what you have achieved. The focus is on practical work and there is no exam.

Fashion and Design

This course gives you an insight into the history and practice of fashion and design, as well as giving you the chance to try out your own skills. It is a good general interest course, and will be fun! The course is assessed by a portfolio, which is put together throughout the course.

Life Drawing (Level 1)

This course is suitable for those who have done some drawing or painting before and who want to build up expertise in this area. The work is mostly practical, and you should provide your own resources (except for the Life Model!). Courses run at two levels, depending on your prior experience. The course is assessed by a portfolio, which is put together throughout the course.

Jewellery Making with Beads and Wire

The course is designed for the beginner who wants to learn more about the basics of jewellery making and how to create their own designs and styles using beads and wire.  It is mainly practical but there is a small amount of written work to accompany the practical work.  This course is assesed by a portfolio, which is put together throughout the course.
