Apprenticeships
From April 2011, Franklin College will be working with local employers to deliver high quality training in the form of apprenticeships.
Suitable for those who work (you must be employed) in any setting supporting the care and development of children.
Apprenticeship (L2)
Including: L2 Certificate for Children and Young People’s Workforce (35 credits)
Advanced Apprenticeship (L3)
Including: L3 Diploma for Children and Young People’s Workforce (65 credits)
Employers: Contact us if we can work together with you to support staff in your workplace. We will do our best to provide a professional and flexible offer of training, working together with you to deliver the best for you, your staff and your customers.
Introduction to Working in Childcare
This is a 10 week daytime course held at the Riverside Children’s Centre.
This course gives you a good basic introduction to working with children and it will help you decide if childcare is the career for you. You do not need to be working to take this course, or in a placement.
